Christmas was wednesday this year
That's not a bad thing but I should make clear
That hey New Year's Day
It's on a Wednesday too
I wanted to write you a song
Cos my gifts are garbage

I mean, my money is meagre

Or the oppressive heat that's outside
And I hear news of an inferno that rips across half of this country
